The Open Championsh­ip 2019 - How Shane Won the Claret Jug (BBC2, 6.15pm)

The Open made a dramatic return to Northern Ireland in 2019 after a 68-year absence, and Royal Portrush served up a treat, with Irishman Shane Lowry emerging as the winner. Lowry could not have chosen a better venue to claim his first major title and he soared to the top of the leaderboar­d after shooting a magnificen­t 63 in the third round, setting a new course record. He held firm on the final day, as his rivals faltered, to claim the Claret Jug by six shots. Patriotic fans, some appalling weather and a home golfer trying to contain his emotions all combined to make the 148th Open Championsh­ip one of the best. Eilidh Barbour introduces the action, while actor James Nesbitt narrates the story of Lowry’s magical triumph.

Casualty (BBC1, 8.25pm)

When Lev is called to help a patient, Evgeny, who has been stabbed, he is delighted to find out that he is Russian, and the pair bond over their similar heritage. However, he soon finds himself reflecting on disturbing and traumatic memories from his own past and his childhood in Russia. Meanwhile, Jan forgets to buy an anniversar­y gift for her wife, Ffion, and promise to make it up to her, but an emergency means that Jan has to put her work her relationsh­ip once more. Elsewhere, Charlie decides to take a step back.

Rockfield: The Studio on the Farm (BBC4, 9.15pm)

This documentar­y tells the tale of how two Welsh farming brothers turned their dairy farm into one of the most successful recording studios of all time. Fifty years ago, deep in the Welsh countrysid­e, Kingsley and Charles Ward were starting out in the family dairy farming business. But the siblings yearned to make music, so they built a studio in the attic of their farmhouse, started recording with their friends, and launched the world’s first independen­t residentia­l recording studio. Rockfield’s reputation spread like wildfire, and the likes of Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Queen, Simple Minds, Oasis and Coldplay have all recorded there.

Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer (BBC1, 9.15pm)

For the penultimat­e edition of what has been an unexpected highlight in the Saturday night schedules during lockdown, Peter Crouch, Maya Jama and Alex Horne are joined by more guests from the worlds of sport, comedy and music. Stand-up comedian and host of The Lateish Show Mo Gilligan pops by for a chat and a game of musical VA, as does singersong­writer Anne-Marie, whose debut studio album, Speak Your Mind was a global hit in 2018. Plus, former Liverpool and England footballer-turned-Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp takes on world champion sprinter Dina Asher-Smith in The Sporting Fix, and
