NATIONAL MUSEUM GALLERIES
Visitors will have more to explore at the National Museum of Scotland. The Scotland Transformed gallery opened at the beginning of this month along with the Early People gallery. The former features objects from the 18th and early 19th centuries. The Early People, above, gallery showcases archaeological treasures from 8000BC to AD1100. Visitors will also be able to see the latest exhibition New Thinking, New Collecting, until May. Mon-Sun from 10am-4.30pm. Free (must be booked). A LAD IN GOVAN – DIGITAL PANTO
This new panto from Pearce Institute and Halo Arts takes place in a digital format. Join Aladdin as he swaps Govan for the Pyramids of Egypt on an exciting adventure. ESCAPE THE PAST: THE ANATOMIST
The year is 1829 and it is your job to investigate the anatomist Dr Malcolm – with exactly one hour before he returns from lecturing at the nearby Surgeons’ Hall, you’ll have to work quickly to decipher the puzzles and clues hidden within his study. LYCEUM CHRISTMAS TALES
Some of Scotland’s beloved writers and musicians have composed 12 bedtime stories for families. The final four stories will be performed live from the Lyceum stage with musical interludes, streaming from the stage direct to your device.
