Neophobic?
MY goodness, you really have to be congratulated for your contributions to new words for the English language. Although a retired English teacher I had not heard of “homophobic” until recent times and assumed initially it meant what it should mean “fear of mankind”. Now we have “biphobic” and “transphobic (“Warning LGBT face prejudice despite new laws”, The Herald, July 21).
What can they mean? Perhaps it is “fear of biology” and “fear of transport”? Alan Clayton, Letters Way, Strachur, Argyll.
