Norway remembers massacre victims
NORWAY has paid tribute to the 77 people killed in a bombing and shooting rampage five years ago.
Prime Minister Erna Solberg described the day of the massacre – July 22, 2011– as “one of the dark- est days in Norwegian history”.
She told a memorial ceremony: “The missed ones will always be there. Time does not heal all wounds.”
Ms Solberg, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mettedemocracy, Marit laid wreaths in Oslo, where Anders Breivik exploded a car bomb that killed eight before driving to Utoya island, where he gunned down 69 people at a youth summer camp.
Later they attended a service at Oslo Cathedral.
