Man charged with Syria terror offence
A MAN arrested at a London airport has been charged with a terror offence after attempting to travel to Syria. Shamin Ahmed, 23, of Shadwell, east London, was charged with the intention of committing acts of terrorism after being arrested on January 16. Scotland Yard said he had been charged with intending to commit acts of terrorism under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act. He is to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today.
