Teenage girls charged with murder bid
TWO teenage girls have been charged with attempted murder after a man was found seriously injured in Paisley.
The 39-year-old sustained head injuries when he was allegedly attacked while walking on Forbes Place at 8.25pm on Saturday.
Police said on Wednesday the injured man remained “in a serious but stable condition” in the Renfrewshire town’s Royal Alexandra Hospital.
The girls, aged 15 and 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
They have been charged with attempted murder and assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life.
Both made no declaration.
The eldest was remanded in custody while the youngest was released on bail.
Their case was continued for further examination and both are expected to appear in court again next week. plea or
