Eight out of 10 still suffer nuisance calls

Seven out of 10 told the survey that receiving cold calls had actually discourage­d them from picking up their home telephone when it rings.

And four in 10 (41 per cent) also said that they have felt intimidate­d by the cold callers.

Alex Neill, Which? managing director of home products and services, said: “Nuisance calls continue to be an everyday menace for too many people in Scotland.”
