Glasgow the place to go

GLASGOW has been named as one of the top places in the world to visit this year.

The city joins the Route of Parks in Chile, New Orleans, Colombia, Bhutan, South Korea and the Caribbean in the list compiled by the New York Times.

The newspaper, which listed Glasgow at number 10 on its 52 places to go, described the city “walletfriendly” and praised the city’s culinary efforts, singling out east end restaurant Bilson Eleven.

It also highlighted a wave of new developments taking shape on the River Clyde.
