IT is reported (January 10) that snow has fallen in the Sahara. It happens now and then. In 1979 a snowfall lasting for half an hour in the town of Ain Sefra in Algeria caused the traffic to grind to a halt. Good to know we have something in common with sunnier climes. Steven Lawrie,
