McGre­gor’s star shin­ing

SCOTS star Ewan McGre­gor picked up a pres­ti­gious award for his dual role in Fargo.

McGre­gor, who played twin broth­ers in the hit TV show, was named best ac­tor in a limited se­ries at the 23rd Crit­ics’ Choice Awards. The ac­tor, who has re­cently sep­a­rated from his wife of 22 years, thanked his girl­friend and co-star Mary El­iz­a­beth Win­stead in his ac­cep­tance speech.

Fresh from his Golden Globe vic­tory, Gary Old­man also tri­umphed as best ac­tor in a film for his per­for­mance of Win­ston Churchill in Dark­est Hour.

The Shape Of Wa­ter took four awards, in­clud­ing best pic­ture and best di­rec­tor for Guillermo Del Toro.
