A capital run
RUNNERS Steph Twell, Jake Wightman, Mhairi Hendry and Sol Sweeney will be competing in a crosscountry race in the heart of Edinburgh today.
The Great Edinburgh International XCountry will see a Great Britain and Northern Ireland team compete against the USA and Europe.
It will be held after a morning event in which around 3,000 people are expected to line up for the Simplyhealth Great Edinburgh Winter Run, a 5k route at Holyrood Park and around Arthur’s Seat.
There is also a dedicated children’s route on a 2.5k course.
