Mother sets off on latest trek
A GRIEVING mother who completed a 6,000-mile walk around the UK coast in memory of her five-yearold daughter began her latest expedition yesterday, on Mothering Sunday.
Ukraine-born Natalia Spencer, 42, who now lives in Stornoway, said she will keep fundraising until she has raised £1 million in memory of her daughter Elizabeth.
She set off yesterday from Cheltenham General Hospital in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, where she used to live. Over the next 70 days, she will walk 1000 miles and visit 30 hospitals to raise funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
