MACROBERTS has announced that corporate partner Neil Kennedy, right, will succeed John Macmillan as managing partner from May 1.

The Aberdeen University graduate has been with Macroberts for 19 years and a partner for 10 of those. He works in corporate and commercial law and is a lead adviser to a number of well-known businesses.

John Macmillan steps down from the role after his second term as managing partner and will continue as an employment partner for the firm.

Mr Kennedy said: “We have achieved great success under John Macmillan’s expert watch and we will continue to achieve this through investment, underpinned by exceptional talent and service.”

Mr Macmillan said Mr Kennedy would be a “very fine successor”.

“The firm will be in very good hands and I was delighted by the strength of the partner support for his appointment,” he added.
