1,600 hi-tech jobs on way
ABOUT 1,600 new jobs and billions of pounds of investment is being announced at a meeting of technology bosses in Downing Street.
Visa rules are being changed to allow more entrepreneurs in the industry to work in the UK and a new fund launched to give start-ups access to capital, Theresa May said.
Companies at the No 10 talks, being held as part of London Tech Week, are setting out £2.3bn of investment in the UK.
Ahead of the meeting, Mrs May said: “The measures we are announcing today will allow innovative British start-ups to invest in their future, and in the UK, by hiring more skilled people, expanding their business.”
