Seven injured on Paris train
PARIS: Seven people have been slightly injured in a rare derailment of a suburban train near Paris which was caused by a large amount of overnight rainfall in the region, France’s transport minister said.
Elisabeth Borne said three passenger cars of the train came to rest on their side because of a landslide in Courcelle-sur-yvette, south-west of Paris.
All passengers have been safely evacuated.
Catherine Guillouard, president of the public transport company RATP, which runs underground and commuter transport in the city said train traffic would be disrupted.
Social media showed water flowing down a hole under the rails.
