Thiam mulls job cuts at Credit Suisse to save £1bn

New Credit Suisse chief executive Tidjane Thiam, former head of Prudential, is reportedly considerin­g huge job cuts as part of a revamp of the Swiss banking giant. Heads of large department­s have been warned to slash costs, which could save the group more than £1bn, according to the Swiss newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag.
