OBAMA AND THE JEWS

I found Joel Braunold’s article ( Obama’s inside track on Israel, March 30) astonishingly naive.

Some of the evidence presented to support the suggestion that President Obama is a product of the Chicago Jewish establishment, was absurd. To suggest that his daughter’s attendance at barmitzvahs or prepared speeches at Jewish conventions are evidence of an affinity is ridiculous.

Describing President Obama as “the first Jewish President” is like describing Bibi Netanyahu as “the first American Prime Minister”. Every president in recent years has hosted a White House Seder, while his public treatment of Mr Netanyahu caused anger throughout the US.HE is a political opportunist like so many others, which is the most disappointing thing to American Jews.
