NEW SPANISHPORTUGUESE RABBI

RABBI JOSEPH Dweck has taken up his role as senior rabbi of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews’ Congregation. Since being elected to the position last year, Rabbi Dweck had been preparing to begin work in a full-time capacity. US-born Rabbi Dweck said: “We look forward to investing in, and building, the future, together with the entire congregation.” Rabbi Dweck, of New York, was endorsed as the new rabbinic leader by 270 votes to four in a ballot last year.
