BOARD TARGETS MP CANDIDATES

THE BOARD of Deputies has produced a manifesto for the General Election, aimed at encouraging parliamentary candidates to recognise communal concerns. Defending religious practices such as shechita, opposing boycotts, and remembering the Holocaust are among 10 leading “commitments” in the 30-page draft document. Director of public affairs Phil Rosenberg, said the manifesto would be given to delegates at party conferences.
