WHITEHALL BUSINESS ROLE FOR ALTMANN

PENSIONS EXPERT Ros Altmann has been appointed as the government’s business champion for older workers. Dr Altmann,a columnist, will work with the Department for Work and Pensions to tackle prejudice faced by over-50s in the workplace. She said: “I hope to provide thoughtful leadership for the social revolution we need — not forcing anyone to work longer but empowering them to choose that if they want to.”
