BASKIN BITER BIT?
Gershon Baskin (JC July 11) has boasted that Israel’s extraordinary exchange with Hamas for abducted soldier Gilad Shalit would not have been possible without him.
Many of us decried that mindbogglingly disproportionate exchange for the high likelihood that the released murderers would re-offend (and they have) and for its inevitable encouragement to abduct other Israelis.
But Mr Baskin now describes Hamas leaders as “irresponsible” and “criminals to their own people.”
Perhaps he should consider his own record, before accusing others? Andrew Rosemarine Cavendish Rd, Salford, Lancs
