MIXED OUTCOME FOR BAR THE BAR OWNER

THE BAR owner called Bar failed to reach the final of the World Class Bartender of the Year at Gleneagles last week. But Tel Aviv’s Bar Shira felt he did win over the British public as the first Israeli ever to take part in the contest. “I made a lot of friends. Conversations did sometimes turn to Gaza but I believe nobody there saw me as a murderer or blood-hungry Israeli,” he said.
