POWERLIFTING Shachar Head inspired England to gold at the BDFPA 4 Nations in Brentwood. Head battled through the pain of a torn quad muscle to lift 140kg in the squat. She followed this with a personal best and national record of 85kg in the bench as well as a 170kg deadlift. Head said: “Everyone did so well and there were PB’s and records flying all over the place. I’m extremely happy to be part of the winning team.”
