G O L F A b r i d g e w e r e t h e dom­i­nant force at the AJGC & S Se­niors tour­na­ment at Shirley Golf Club.

The Es­sex club lifted the Coombe Hill Tro­phy af­ter re­turn­ing an ag­gre­gate score 10 shots bet­ter than Moor Aller­ton, who took home the Pot­ters Bar Tro­phy as run­ners-up.

De­spite the dif­fi­culty of the course, Lance Pomer­ance of Abridge, re­turned a gross score of 77 for the Hartsbourne Tro­phy, beat­ing his fel­low club mem­bers, Lau­rence Green and Gary Specter­man by two shots, with Green win­ning the Sus­sex Tro­phy on a card play-off

The White­field Tro­phy for run­nerup net prize saw a four-way tie with Cyril Cohen win­ning on a card play­off af­ter they all re­turned scores of net 72.

The As­so­ci­a­tion of Jewish Golf Clubs & So­ci­eties or­gan­ised the event for male golfers over the age of 55.
