Bruck hits medal trail once again

ATHLETICS Roger Bruck won a gold and two silvers in the M75 division of the British Masters C h a mpi o n s h i p s i n B i r mi n g - ham. Bruck won the high jump in 1.18m, the event staged indoors because of bad weather, and took silvers in the long jump and 200m, but was fourth in the 100m. Sale Harrier Jennifer Simmons tested her recovery from a long-standing back and hamstring injury by winning the 400m hurdles in 68.2 in the North of England League at Blackburn.

Sophie Dowson, 15, was the youngest pole vaulter in the South of England U20 Championsh­ips at Hendon, placing fifth with a 3.10m clearance.
