Sidney. Deeply saddened at the loss of our dear, much loved and respected Uncle Sid, who was our mentor and business partner for over 50 years. The last of five brothers, he bravely fought a long illness without complaint and, with his usual strength of character, never gave in. He will always be in our hearts and memories. Our thoughts are with Suzanne and Beverley.— Alan and Janice, Edward and Sandra, Barry and Ruth, Helen and their families.

Sidney. Saddened by the passing of Sidney, a true gentleman. We send our deepest sympathy and love to our dear friend Suzanne, Beverley and family.— Marilyn, Howard and all the family.

Ena (née Glass). For many years Sheffield correspond­ent for the Jewish Chronicle, died August 10, aged 99. Deeply missed by her children Judy and Julian and their families and by her sister Rita Simons.

Bryan. Passed away on August 18. The brightest, kindest and most generous of men. Will be so sorely missed by wife Jackie, children Danny, Stephen and Alix, daughters-in-law Danielle and Helen, grandchild­ren Adam, Gaby, Lana and Jonathan and brother-inlaw Anthony.

Michael. My heart is broken. I was so lucky to share my life with the most wonderful man in the world and miss him so much. He fought his illness with dignity and was my hero. May he rest in peace.— His everloving wife, Phyllis.

Renee. Passed away peacefully at the age of 93. A wonderful wife and mother, who always thought of others before herself. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her devoted husband Harry and daughter Helen.

Phillip Reuben. Passed away August 18, 2014, suddenly but peacefully, aged 85. Much loved and adored husband of Susan for 49 years, father to Jonathan and Simon, in addition to being grandfathe­r to Chantal and Max. Phillip was a true gentleman and highly respected and esteemed pillar of the Brighton and Hove community. He was a source of inspiratio­n to others and lived life to the full. He will be sadly missed leaving an irrepleace­able void in our lives.
