LL Camps man bailed

BEN LEWIS, the former summer camp director awaiting trial on charges relating to indecent images of children and child neglect, has been released on bail.

The 25-year-old, who ran LL Camps in Bushey, Hertfordsh­ire, had been detained since August. He was released on bail at a hearing at Southwark Crown Court.

Under conditions set by the court, he is forbidden from using any software capable of deleting internet history and of havinganyu­nsupervise­dcontactwi­th anyone under the age of 16, except in the presence of a guardian who is aware of the charges being brought against him and if the contact is unavoidabl­e.

He will also be forced to wear an electronic tag.

LL Camps was shut down in August after Mr Lewis was arrested. Camp codirector Tal Landsman, 25, his mother, Adrianne Landsman, and Mr Lewis’s father, Larry Lewis, also face charges.

The trial is set to be held next May.
