LL Camps man bailed

BEN LEWIS, the for­mer sum­mer camp di­rec­tor await­ing trial on charges re­lat­ing to in­de­cent im­ages of chil­dren and child ne­glect, has been re­leased on bail.

The 25-year-old, who ran LL Camps in Bushey, Hert­ford­shire, had been de­tained since Au­gust. He was re­leased on bail at a hear­ing at South­wark Crown Court.

Un­der con­di­tions set by the court, he is for­bid­den from us­ing any soft­ware ca­pa­ble of delet­ing in­ter­net history and of havin­ganyun­su­per­vised­con­tactwith any­one un­der the age of 16, ex­cept in the pres­ence of a guardian who is aware of the charges be­ing brought against him and if the con­tact is un­avoid­able.

He will also be forced to wear an elec­tronic tag.

LL Camps was shut down in Au­gust af­ter Mr Lewis was ar­rested. Camp codi­rec­tor Tal Lands­man, 25, his mother, Adri­anne Lands­man, and Mr Lewis’s fa­ther, Larry Lewis, also face charges.

The trial is set to be held next May.
