MDA APPEALS FOR STUDENT BLOOD DONORS
GAP YEAR students in Israel are being encouraged to take part in a special blood donation session in Jerusalem next Friday at the Magen David Adom headquarters. Since the “mad cow disease” outbreak, Britons have not been allowed to donate blood for Israel. But donations are now accept- ed from those born in 1997. MDA UK chief executive, Daniel Burger, said: “For the first time in a very long time, through giving blood, young British people can make a real difference in helping MDA to save lives in Israel. This comes at a time when our blood services have been pushed to the limit.”
