JFS guards to go high-vis

- BY CHARLOTTE OLIVER

SECURITY GUARDS at JFS will be ordered to wear high-visibility jackets, following a complaint from a parent over the safety of pupils.

Nicki Hari raised concerns after her 14-year-old son was mugged on a path leading to the school.

At a meeting with headteacher Jonathan Miller, she said she was told that the school would not be increasing security, but guards would be instructed to wear high-visibility jackets.

“He said their security is as good as it can be, and that teachers had also been told to be more vigilant,” Ms Hari said.

“I told him I didn’t receive any contact from the school following the mugging, for which he apologised.”

JFS did not respond to a request for comment.
