The Uber generation arrives at a new location

-

Never a north London new home comes to the market without an assurance from the developer that it is a half-hour train ride f rom central London. But perhaps a half-hour Uber ride is more to modern buyers’ tastes. This limits the market but Countrywide London Residential Development has two locations that might suit.

The Furlong Collection is a gated development on one of the oldest Georgian terraces in the capital. Little Green Street, off Highgate Road in Kentish Town, is one of the few cobbled Georgian streets in London that survived the Blitz. Built in the 1780s, many of the houses are grade II listed.

The scheme itself includes timber floors, stairs with glass balustrades and Kulhmann kitchens. Prices are on application

Kensal Rise, in London W10, is another address with independent boutiques, cafés, bars and a long list of celebrity residents.

Only a few years ago, Vogue voted the high street of this area “Europe’s hippest street”.

Prime Place is built around a new £28 million sports centre. It offers oneand two-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom townhouses.

The sports centre includes a 25-metre swimming pool as well as an additional studio pool which has been fitted with a moveable floor for more flexible use.

There is also an eight-court sports hall with seating for 500 spectators, numerous exercise and dance studios, an extensive health and fitness facility, a boxing hall and a spa with health suite.

On Chamberlayne Road, Prime Place is surrounded by independent shops and green spaces that belie its zonetwo location.

If public transport does have a place on your agenda, Kensal Rise overground station and Kensal Green (over and underground) are five and seven minutes’ walk away respectively.

Prices at the development start from £520,000 for a one-bedroom property and £685,000 for a two-bedroom. Countrywide’s Prime Place and (above left) Furlong Collection
