FOOTBALL STUART Delmonte and Tony Rosenberg are heading back into the Manchester Jewish Soccer League to take charge of Reich Insurance Rangers.

The management duo ended their four-year spell with AFC Flixton at the end of last season.

Delmonte and Rosenberg, who won eight trophies in just four years with Flixton, had been on the lookout for a new club having been tipped to fill the vacant hot-seat at defending champions Oakhill Lions.

But instead they will replace Michael Freedman as they aim to improve on Reich’s mid-table finish last term.

Delmonte said: “We wanted a new challenge. It’s something Tony and myself are relishing.”

There will be increased numbers in the MJSL with 10 teams kicking-off on September 4 following the introduction of Prestfield as a new side.

MJSL secretary Paul Rose said: “We are gearing up for another great season. There is a new team and some familiar faces in Stuart and Tony rejoining the league.

“We hope there are no drop-outs. But we have had trouble contacting Oakhill to confirm their participation.”

There is also a change in the dugout at Haroldeans with Mike Bloomberg handed the reins. Bloomberg replaces Jamie Harris, who wll remain solely as a player at the Liverpool-based club.
