Highgate’s big reopening

HIGHGATE UNITED Synagogue celebrated its first Shabbat in its newly built synagogue, with seating for 60 more congregant­s, a dedicated library, an enlarged hall and two extra cheder classrooms.

“This is the shul the wonderfull­y warm Highgate Synagogue community deserves,” Rabbi Nicky Liss said. “It meets the needs of our growing community and we are also now much better able to accommodat­e wheelchair users.” Highgate School hosted services during the building period.
