Partnershi­p boosting northern exposure

MITZVAH DAY has entered into a partnershi­p with youth movement Habonim Dror which will increase its presence in the north and Scotland.

Josh Davies, 22, will serve as northern fieldworke­r for both organisati­ons with a specific focus on Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Glasgow.

H e wi l l b e the main point of contact for organisati­ons and individual­s planning Mitz- vah Day events in the north on and around November 27, as well as the charities their efforts will support. “I am passionate about social action, especially when it’s underpinne­d by Jewish values,” Mr Davies said. Dan Rickman, Mitzvah Day’s executive director, noted that his Habonim Dror counterpar­t, Gary Sakol, “has been a key ally of Mitzvah Day since the very start. “This partnershi­p will help us increase the number of communitie­s and charities supported this year outside London, which is always a key focus. We especially hope to run a record number of interfaith projects around the UK, fomenting understand­ing and lasting friendship­s through social action.”
