Oxford’s biblical beginners

RELIGIOUS studies may be growing in popularity at GCSE but the state of Bible knowledge is still low among the nation’s youth if the following is anything to go by. I recently came across the History Aptitude Test paper which Oxford University set for applicants last year. It included a passage referring to the Book of Genesis and, presuming ignorance among sixthformers, a footnote explaining what this was.
