FOOTBALL ISRAEL FA chairman Ofer Eini has piled the pressure on national manager Elisha Levy by demanding victories in the World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Liechtenstein next week.

Israel lost their first match of the Group G campaign 3-1 to Italy , but Eini has boldly predicted that victories away in Macedonia and at home to Liechtenstein can keep them in contention.

“I hope and expect six points from these two matches,” said Eini.

“I always aspire to the maximum and we have a good team that unfortunately was a bit unlucky against Italy but they need some success.”

There is no place in Levy’s 22-man squad for former Premier League stars Tal Ben Haim and Yossi Benayoun. Beram Kayal, Sheran Yeini and Lior Refaelov are all missing through injury.

Tal Ben Chaim, who scored in the 3-1 home defeat to Italy and a brace in Maccabi’s 5-0 derby win over Hapoel earlier this week, is expected to lead the Israel attack.
