Israelis blocked by six countries on Trump’s list
MANY OF those protesting over President Donald Trump’s ban on immigration from a selection of Muslim states appeared to have forgotten that six of these countries (with the exception of Somalia) have long refused entry to Israeli passport-holders.
Currently, 16 countries bar Israeli passport-holders. These include six on President Donald Trump’s list — Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya and Yemen. Israelis are also banned by Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia andtheUAE.Someof thesecountriesdo not even allow citizens of other nationalities to enter if they have an Israeli stamp in their passports, leading many businesspeople who travel in the Middle East to own two passports. Unlike the new travel ban in the US, Israelis can travel to these countries with other passports if they are dualnationals.
