NEVER forget to wear your club tie, for you never know its benefits.
The Reverend Malcolm Weisman, the veteran roving minister to small Jewish communities, was off to a Council of Christian and Jews meeting in Leicester the other day. When he stopped for coffee at a service station, there was a man selling AA membership inside who noticed the interfaith organisation’s official tie he was wearing.
“‘That’s an unusual tie,’ he asked me,” said Mr Weisman. “When I explained what it was it, he said he was a lay preacher and he must join the CCJ.”
