GOLF Laetitia Beck ( right) registered her best finish on the LPGA tour after finishing eighth at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic. Beck, 24, finished with a score of 19 under, seven shots behind winner Brittany Lincicome. The Israeli, who made the cut in six tournaments last year, was fifth on the leaderboard after three rounds before a final round of 70.

FOOTBALL Simon Davidson helped Maccabi London Lions B take another step towards the Maccabi Masters League Division Two title with the only goal against Marshside. Grant Morgan, Mark Nathan, Paul Herszaft and Jonny Feinmesser steered St John’s Wood Tigers to a 4-3 victory over Glenthorne. Greg Morris (2) and Marc Lynch replied. Tim Levene and Graeme Grossman exchanged goals as Scrabble drew with Brady Maccabi A in Division One.
