Brady into semi-finals

FOOTBALL A double from Graeme Grossman’s guided Brady Maccabi A into the semi-finals of the Henry Swerner MMFL Cup following a 2-1 win over Maccabi London Lions A. Michael Abraham replied for Lions A.

North London Raiders A took another step towards the Division One title with a 4-1 triumph over Scrabble. Alex Bourne (2), James Cartmell and Lee Cash helped NLR preserve their unbeaten record.

Mark Kingston (2) and Martin Seifert steered EDRS Stonegrove past Hendon Harriers 3-2. Graham Meyer scored both goals for the Harriers.

Grant Morgan (2), Jason Bentley (2), Oren Wolf, Johnny Mansoor, Jonny Feinmesser, Mark Nathan and a wonder goal from Ilan Cohen earned St John’s Wood Tigers a crushing 9-2 win over Brady B. Trevor Tucker and Spencer Brookner replied for Brady.

Alex Lee’s hat-trick kept Manchester Maccabi 1st in the title hunt.

After a string of poor results, Lee’s treble and a Sam Hatton strike saw Maccabi return to winning ways in the Cheshire and Manchester Sunday League Premier Division.
