They will enjoy leading Ljoy

HUSBAND AND wife Edwin and Suzy Chomer are the new directors of Leeds Jewish Orthodox Youth (Ljoy), which covers three local shuls.

After attending JFS,

Mr Chomer studied at yeshivah in Jerusalem, returning to the UK to pursue a career in the property world.

All the while he maintained an involvement in youth work. His wife has worked for the Board of Deputies and the United Synagogue. They have lived in London but moved north to be closer to family.

The couple promise “a host of interesting, engaging and exciting programmes”. Mrs Chomer sees Ljoy as “a wonderful example of crosscommunal partnership. We know it has had a positive impact on many lives.”
