Streeting is just one of the Chaps
ILFORD NORTH MP Wes Streeting discussed issues ranging from local council concerns to pressures on the NHS when he visited the Chaps That Chat group at Jewish Care’s Redbridge Community Centre.
“Given the recent controversy in the Labour Party concerning Ken Livingstone, it was particularly heartening to receive such a warm welcome and support for the stance I’ve taken to combat antisemitism within the Labour Party and wider society,” Mr Streeting said afterwards.
“It’s fantastic to see the enthusiasm that Sid Green puts into organising this regular group. The number of people attending each time is a real credit to his dedication and commitment.”
The MP also acknowledged “the important work” done by the welfare charity in supporting elderly Jews living in the Redbridge and surrounding areas.
