CYCLING NOGA Korem, 26, of the Cycling Academy, is one of the small band of Israeli women riders competing professionally in international events.

She placed an outstanding fourth in the second Enduro World Series event, the Blue Mountain Downhill race in Tasmania, against the world’s best mountain bikers, showing improvement in both downhill and cross-country disciplines.

Elsewhere, in Belgium, the Pajot Hills classic, Goolk – Goolk Road Race, resulted in a huge bunch finish after 3:1:31 with Rotem Gafinovitz (WM3 Team) and Omer Shapira (unsponsored) in the same time as the winner and Shani Bloch-Davidov, riding in her new team colours of Team Velo-Concept Women, who was placed at +3:32.

ICA (Israel Cycling Academy), now competing in the higher-level ProContinental ‘league’ event, the Vuelta Ciclista a La Rioja, Logramo-Logromo, resulted in Dan Turek of the Czech Republic best placed in 15th in 3:26:16.
