Getting vocal about accents
MANY of the Jewish contingent in the audience for Oslo, the award-winning film about the IsraeliPalestinian peace process, seemed agitated by one thing when our reporter attended a preview performance at the National Theatre. “The Israeli accents were terrible,” seemed a common refrain. At least apart from Yair Jonah Lotan. That was unsurprising. A quick Google search revealed that Lotan actually is Israeli.
