CREATIVE CHOICE FOR NEW CHAIRMAN

-

JW3 has named board member Marc Nohr as its new chairman, succeeding Michael Goldstein early in 2018.

Mr Nohr is chief executive of one of London’s fastest growing creative agencies, Fold7, whose clients include Samsung, Carlsberg and Amazon. He has chaired JW3’s marketing advisory board since 2015.

The Hampstead Synagogue member advises the CST and Jewish Care among other charity work. He lives close to the community centre and is a regular user with his wife Gabi and three sons.

JW3 chief executive Raymond Simonson said Mr Nohr “has also grown the London Krav Maga [Israeli self-defence method] school into the largest in the country, with over 175 participants of all ages attending classes at JW3 every week, some of which he teaches”.

He had “demonstrated, both throughout his impressive professional career to date and with his commitment to Jewish community, that he has all the qualities we need to lead our board through the next chapter”.

Mr Goldstein has chaired

JW3 for four years, having overseen its merger with the London Jewish Cultural Centre. In July, he became president of the United Synagogue. Mr Simonson is “delighted he has agreed to my request to stay on the board as vice-chair”.

Three new trustees will join the centre in January — Claudia Rosencrantz, former ITV controller of entertainment; Moria Benigson, founder of executive search company MBS Group; and Neil Blair, J K Rowling’s literary agent.
