HET enjoys net success
THE Holocaust Educational Trust overcame a tough political challenge on Wednesday, defeating the AllParty Parliamentary Football Group in a charity soccer match to mark the trust’s 30th anniversary.
Captained by HET supporter Gavin Stollar, the team (in black) won 2-1 with goals from grandchildren of two survivors, Ricky Kennet (grandson of Gena Turgel) and Darren Richman (grandson of Zigi Shipper).
News of Northern California, the kosherdefying dishes this time included peanut butter pie with bacon (sans bacon for vegetarians), rabbit crepinette and pulled pork potato kugel with barbecue sauce.
