Shvi­dler’s sport­ing stars

THREE PUPILS from Beit Shvi­dler Pri­mary in Edg­ware have re­ceived prizes for their sport­ing en­deav­ours from an or­gan­i­sa­tion which runs PE and sports clubs in schools..

Elms Sports in Schools holds a na­tional com­pe­ti­tion, where pupils are eval­u­ated on a num­ber of cri­te­ria in­clud­ing team­work and work ethic.

In the win­ter ses­sion of the Elms Na­tional Cham­pi­onship Leader­board, ESS an­nounced, “in­cred­i­bly, the top three pupils all come from Beit Shvi­dler – quite re­mark­able as we had over 4,000 par­tic­i­pants.”

Avi­tal Levine, 11, was cham­pion: Ayelet Bloch, 10, run­ner-up, and Gila Younger­wood, 10, third. Each girl re­ceives a free term’s sport tu­ition with a £100 first prize shared be­tween pupil and school, £75 for sec­ond and £50 third. Eliezer Se­gal, Beit Shvi­dler’s PE lead, said “We are thrilled with and very proud of the girls’ achieve­ments.”
