Lions suffer new year hangover against United

FOOTBALL LONDON Lions’ promotion hopes were dealt a blow when they went down 3-2 against mid-table Broadfield United on Tuesday night.

The defeat ended a three-match winning run which included an impressive 2-0 triumph over second-placed Enfield Town. Nick Landesberg and Jack Mattey were the scorers. Lions started the year by securing a place in the final of the South Midlands League Division One Cup. Adam Bolle capitalise­d on good work from Jake Furman and Liron Mannie to score his 20th goal of the season. Lions will face Southall or Ampthill Town in the final.
