Lions suffer new year hangover against United

FOOTBALL LONDON Lions’ promotion hopes were dealt a blow when they went down 3-2 against mid-table Broadfield United on Tuesday night.

The defeat ended a three-match winning run which included an impressive 2-0 triumph over second-placed Enfield Town. Nick Landesberg and Jack Mattey were the scorers. Lions started the year by securing a place in the final of the South Midlands League Division One Cup. Adam Bolle capitalised on good work from Jake Furman and Liron Mannie to score his 20th goal of the season. Lions will face Southall or Ampthill Town in the final.
