A WOMAN named her baby after Hitler and said: “all Jews must be put to death”, a court has heard, as she and her partner stand trial accused of being members of a banned neoNazi group.

Claudia Patatas, 38, and Adam Thomas, 22, of Waltham Gardens, Banbury, Oxfordshire, are charged with being members of the far-right group National Action.

Daniel Bogunovic, 27, of Crown Hills Rise, Leicester, faces the same charge. All three deny being in the proscribed group.

Jurors at Birmingham Crown Court have been shown photos said to be of Mr Thomas. One shows a man wearing Ku Klux Klan robes, cradling a baby.

Another shows Mr Thomas holding a swastika flag, alongside Ms Patatas. These were, said Barnaby Jameson QC, prosecuting, from the “ThomasPatatas family album”.

Mr Jameson also told the court their child’s middle name was Adolf.

Jurors were told Ms Patatas sent a WhatsApp message to convicted National Action member Darren Fletcher, declaring that “all Jews must be put to death”.

The neo-fascist National Action group was banned under terrorism laws in December 2016.

A host of Nazi and far-right memorabilia — as well as National Action flags, badges and banners — was found at the couple’s home, the court heard.

Also recovered was an “extensive” collection of weapons, including crossbows, knives and an axe.

The trial continues.
