Stern is union leader

THERE’S A new lay leader at the Orthodox Union of Hebrew Congregations, the umbrella body for London’s Charedi synagogues. Binyomin Stern has been elected as president to succeed Rabbi Dovid Frand. Mr Stern grew up in Stamford Hill and spent 11 years in Jerusalem before returning to the UK, where he has been involved in various activities for the union.
