BRIGHT FUTURE

-

ASHLEY LERNER, chief executive of Maccabi GB, says “Everyone at Maccabi GB is eagerly anticipating the next stages in the roadmap in the reduction of restrictions. As the Jewish community’s leading provider of sport, health and wellbeing provision, being able to safely participate in outdoor sports and physical activities with our friends and family will, I believe, be fundamental to us all bouncing back from the challenges of this last year. Whether it is the project restart of the Maccabi GB Affiliated Football Leagues, commencing the Maccabiah Games trials, or the festival of fun which will be Maccabi GB Community Fun Run, we cannot wait to be face to face again with the community.”

REBECCA ROSE, a Year 10 pupil, says “I am really looking forward to going back to some sort of normality and just having fun with my friends. Of course we understand there will still be some rules to follow.”

BARBARA LOWI, a university student help desk advisor and husband JONATHAN LOWI,a retired civil servant say: “We are really looking forward to seeing friends again in person in our own back garden so that we can resume eating and drinking again in each other’s company whilst still maintaining social distancing. Although we have all received our first vaccination, we recognise the importance of maintaining ‘Hands, Face, Space and fresh air’ for the good of humanity as a whole. It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to enjoy having lively banter amongst six people whilst having a convivial lunch al fresco.”
